First Place in Show Ready to Show
Watercolor on Arches 140# CP - 17" x 29" Christmas Morning
Watercolor on Arches 140# CP, 18"x24", framed 22" x 28"
The old truck was brought from S. Dakota and used for many years by father and son vintagers when they established Dakotah Winery in Chiefland, FL. Having lived out its useful years in the muscadine vineyards, the truck is parked near the entrance to the main building. The painting was exhibted at Artful Gifts (Marion Cultural Alliance Gallery) for the November "Americana" show, and was awarded a ribbon for First Place in that show.I am honored, too, that this painting is one of 100 watercolors selected for the 2012 Florida Watercolor Society's Online Exhibition. A watercolor of Buck with our '23 T-Bucket, exhibited at Brick City Art Center during the month of November 2012 for the Ocala Art Group show "Reflections". This holiday themed painting features a vintage tricycle horse that I saw at a shop near our home. I fell in love with it! The store owner allowed me to take photos, but she already had a buyer for my golden prancer. Surrounded by toys, Golden Prancer waits patiently for a child to discover it on Chritmas Morning. The little bear is a painting of my own first Teddy Bear.
